Shingling

Construction Technology

These interlocking modules are made to overlap like traditional shingle siding, except they’re also structural masonry units. This shingling allows for a deep relief texture, without any gaps or leaks through the system. The bricks are stacked by way of a 90 degree rotation, which means there’s only one ‘type’ in the assembly. Every unit is cast from a single mold, yet the final construction is highly faceted and changes dramatically with the angle of sunlight.
